Our Team

Our sustainability team specialises in helping client organisations to measure, manage and reduce energy consumption, carbon emissions and achieve wider sustainability aims. Our services include, but are not limited to:
- Delivery of city/regional carbon reduction programmes;
- Development of carbon management strategies, including Net Zero strategies;
- Carbon footprint and greenhouse gas reporting, and associated ESG disclosures;
- Identification and assessment of energy saving opportunities and investment case support;
- Green building certification assurance on real estate capital projects;
- Estates decarbonisation plan and heat decarbonisation plans; and
- Net Zero programme management and delivery.
Job Description
Our specialist sustainable Cities & Workplaces team, which sits within our Advisory business, is growing in response to rising demand from private and public sector clients. We have a range of sustainability projects and programmes that will provide you with multiple opportunities to work for incredible clients across a wide range of sectors, including corporate real estate, public sector estates, central and local government, education, healthcare, and many more. As a junior consultant you will learn about different subjects within sustainability and experience different types of roles to support you in finding your passions and building your career.
You will be learning the technical and consulting skills on the job, help advising clients how to plan, prepare and deliver on multiple sustainability challenges, ranging from developing carbon reduction roadmaps for global corporate organisations, leading nation-wide housing energy retrofitting programmes or curating innovative strategies for specific environmental challenges.
As part of the Sustainability team, and the wider Advisory business, there are plenty of extra opportunities to get involved in internal projects, groups & forums, and business generation opportunities alongside client-facing work. This could range from service line development, research and development, opportunity bidding, thought leadership and internal commercial and business operational support.

Qualifications
Whether you come from a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) background or non-STEM degree, if you have a willingness to learn, have a passion for solving problems, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are eager to make a difference to clients in a proactive and confident manner, a career at Turner & Townsend is for you. - Excellent analytical skills and logical thinking
- Good grasp on Microsoft Office skills like PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
