At Activate Learning, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Plumbing and Sustainability Teacher to help us deliver high-quality, industry-relevant training that prepares students for the future of green energy and skilled trades.

This is more than a teaching role, this is an opportunity for you to oversee the introduction of renewable energy and commercial green skills courses in our Sustainable Technology Centre at Reading College.

You’ll play a vital role in:

  • Delivering engaging teaching, training, and assessment to students and client groups
  • Shaping new courses in renewable energy and sustainable construction
  • Supporting students through every stage of their learning journey
  • Driving innovation in how we teach and prepare learners for the evolving industry

What do you need to be a Plumbing and Sustainability teacher at Activate Learning?

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Level 3 or above qualification in Plumbing including unvented hot water
  • Air Source Heat Pump qualification
  • Teaching or mentoring experience (with previous experience in Further Education, distance learning, or apprenticeships is desirable)
  • Industry experience within the plumbing sector
  • Educated to GCSE Level 4/C or equivalent
