At Bank of America, our Global Sustainable Banking Solutions Group (SBSG), sits within our Global Corporate and Investment Bank. The team provides deep expertise on ESG issues affecting our clients funding needs, valuation, and strategic decisions. The team is an integrated and innovative strategic advisor offering a full spectrum of solutions, including advising on and structuring transactions to meet the clients’ ESG goals, specific ESG labeled securities and loan products, and provides guidance to clients on positioning with ESG focused investors.
Our Sustainable Banking Solutions Group (SBSG) Summer Analyst program is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience working directly within the SBSG team, whilst still benefiting from exposure to and connectivity with the other groups throughout the Summer Analyst programme.
Responsibilities
As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Develop a strong understanding on how investors integrate ESG in their investment decisions
- Keep up to date with ESG trends, both regulatory and across sectors
- Help deliver high-quality, timely, focused analysis related to ESG issues such a transitions plans
- Work closely with Investment Banking and Corporate Banking teams on client coverage and origination, on a broad array of ESG-related topics and advising on ESG financing solutions
- Work on live transactions and interact with clients and professionals from across the bank as you build your network and experience
Your training and development are our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on-the-job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.
Eligibility:
- Candidates are required to be in their penultimate year of study pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university or as part of their Masters course in Environmental Management or equivalent with a graduation timeframe between September 2025 and June 2026
- Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
- Must be available to join the programme from June 2025
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Fluency in English is essential
- Applications are accepted from a diverse range of degree disciplines such as the arts and humanities, as well as numerically focused subjects such as economics, mathematics, science and engineering. There is however a preference for those studying Environmental Management, Environmental Economics, Sustainable Finance or equivalent
- You will need to demonstrate drive, innovation, and a genuine interest in sustainable finance
- Teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills, plus creativity are key qualities, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and interact with a variety of people
- Displays analytical and problem-solving skills and basic understanding of sustainability issues
Desired:
- Competent user of MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook)
