Overview
Our Global Sustainable Banking Solutions Group (SBSG) is a part of Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America. The team provides expertise on sustainability matters affecting our clients’ financing needs, valuation, and strategic decisions. SBSG works in close collaboration with other teams within the Corporate and Investment Bank, including Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Equity Capital Markets (ECM), across a broad spectrum of solutions, including sustainable-themed financing transactions and providing insights. Our Summer Analyst program is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience working directly within the SBSG team, whilst still benefiting from exposure to and connectivity with the other groups throughout the Summer Analyst programme.
Responsibilities
As a summer analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Work in close collaboration with Capital Markets, Corporate Banking and Investment Banking divisions on origination and execution of sustainable-themed transactions, M&A and IPO transactions in EMEA
- Develop a strong understanding of how investors integrate sustainability in their investment decisions
- Keep up to date with sustainability trends across sectors and geographies
- Contribute to a broad array of sustainability-related topics and solutions
- Help to deliver high-quality, timely, focused analysis related to sustainability issues, such as transitions plans
- Support the preparation of marketing materials
- Our Summer Analyst programme is designed to offer you a broad and exciting experience in sustainability, whilst still benefiting from exposure to and connectivity with the other groups within the bank
Eligibility:
- Candidates are required to be in their penultimate year of study pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university or as part of their Masters course in Environmental Management or equivalent with a completion time frame between September 2026 and July 2027. Completion means that you have completed all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation. Please note that we reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date before extending an offer
- Achieved minimum of 112 UCAS point (or equivalent) and on track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification (or equivalent)
- Must be available to join the programme from June 2026
What we are looking for
Essential:
- Fluency in English
- Strong interest in sustainability and finance topics
- Team player, proactive, independent, enthusiastic self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
- Confident verbal, written communication and networking skills
- Strong organisational, multitasking and time management skills
Desired:
- Fluency in French (preference)
- Outstanding ability to use MS Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint skills and desire to learn more applications e.g Bloomberg
