Overview
The role key focus is to support the development, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability initiatives within our organization with specific focus on environmental stewardship. The role will focus on carbon emission and waste reduction initiatives, data tracking and analysis and implementation of environmental standards.
What you’ll do
• Support delivery of Peli BioThermal sustainability strategy
• Track Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions
• Undertake life cycle and embodied carbon assessment for processes and products (LCA)
• Monitor environmental impacts of operations and recommend improvements.
• Conduct sustainability assessments and audits
• Track and report on key sustainability performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stay current with relevant environmental regulations, certifications, and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, TCFD, ISO 14001).
• Support or/and lead implementation of sustainability standards into Peli BioThermal facilities (e.g. ISO14001)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into operations and product development.
• Support corporate social responsibility (CSR) and ESG reporting efforts.
• Identify opportunities for resource efficiency, waste reduction, and carbon footprint minimization.
• Organize internal training sessions, workshops, coaching and campaigns to promote sustainability awareness.
• Attend project meetings to ensure that sustainability is considered when implementing new products and/or materials
• Uses data and statistical analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, prioritizes projects, and justifies proposed actions.
• Drafts and delivers presentations and reports to communicate sustainability initiatives, highlighting their effectiveness and environmental impact.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or applicable employment agreement. Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance with the job.
What We’re looking for
• Education: Formal Sustainability or Environmental Science degree
• In depth knowledge of ISO14001
• Strong understanding of sustainability reporting standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• Must be proficient in Statistical Analysis Software, LCA software and GHG calculations.
• Must be able to travel to other company sites internationally
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent teamwork and teambuilding skills with proven ability to influence cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of climate risk assessment and circular economy principles
