Montgomery Arts are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented candidate to join our team.

Angus Montgomery Arts (part of Montgomery Group) has more than 40 years of experience in the contemporary arts sphere, establishing successful fairs globally. Comprising an international network of 11 market-leading events, each of Angus Montgomery Arts’ affiliated fairs draws on the wider group’s resources and expertise for the benefit of its galleries, artists, and audiences. Working with its partners, Angus Montgomery Arts is committed to delivering high-quality international art fairs, combining a bespoke, localised programme with a global vision.

Purpose

In this role, you will work with the senior leadership and operations teams across all the art fairs to review and collate the event’s operational practices so as to implement the Group’s sustainability policy across all levels of the event. The individual will be aiming to implement best practice and research new policies to ensure efficient decisions in the planning and execution of the event delivery are adhering to Group targets.  The candidate will also need to liaise with group and event suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure alignment with the Group goals of reducing our carbon and waste footprint across the events we deliver.

The ideal candidate would have experience working within production and logistics for events and exhibitions. Experience in leading sustainability initiatives in previous roles would be advantageous. Event experience combined with top-level organisation skills is required. Working across the Group’s fairs with multiple teams will require the candidate to be highly organised, collaborative and detail orientated.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead Sustainability initiatives across all Angus Montgomery Arts Fairs
  • Work with the Senior Management teams to implement the Groups sustainability targets
  • Conduct a sustainability and emissions audit for each event
  • Develop strategies with each individual event to ensure sustainability practices are incorporated and implemented into the event planning and execution
  • Monitor and measure the environmental impact using current tools and audits to ensure project milestones and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance appropriate environmental and sustainability regulations, staying fully up to date with industry best practice
  • Collaborate with team members to support the implementation of new policies or processes
  • Collaborate and work with venues, suppliers, contractors and customers to implement sustainability principles and reduce environmental impact
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders when necessary.
  • Promote a culture of sustainability across the group by engaging with employees and raising awareness

Practicalities:

  • This is a permanent position.
  • The role is primarily based in the company’s London office – 9 Manchester Square, London, W1U 3PL where we operate a hybrid model with Tue – Thu based in the office and Mon & Fri WFH.
  • Normal working hours are Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm, flexibility outside these hours will be required to suit the needs of the business.
