Overview

WHY JOIN OATLY?

Hello potential future Oatly employee.

It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden nearly 30 years ago and we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the oat drink flowing.

Sustainability, health, and transparency are the core values that guide everything we do. Basically, we exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. If you’re driven to help us make a positive impact in the world, here’s your chance to be a change-maker.

In short, we are looking for someone who can enact positive environmental and social change, within both Oatly and society as a whole.

The main purpose of the role is to support and enable the markets to use sustainability as a value add in driving forward the plant-based revolution and our business in the markets.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO:

  • Identify opportunities and use sustainability as a door opener to new conversations with partners and collaborators to drive conversion further. You take the lead in engaging directly with our largest customers highlighting the importance of dietary switch for the planet and the role of plant-based foods.
  • Actively engage with a wide range of networks and forums in your markets. You’ll be the sustainability expert who’ll be our spokesperson in the markets. You will speak at conferences, with journalists, and on podcasts, continuing to raise awareness of the impact our food system has on the planet (and continue to learn from other experts in this space).
  • Closely work with the market teams (commercial, creative, public relations and public affairs) to embed and amplify our sustainability mission and agenda into commercial relationships, campaigns and consumer relations. You identify opportunities and use sustainability as a door opener to new conversations with partners and collaborators.
  • Inspire, upskill and enable your colleagues in the markets with sustainability knowledge and insights from both the global sustainability team as well as from your market.
  • A member of Oatly’s Global Sustainability Community you engage to share knowledge, cross-collaborate, partake in or lead global projects.

But, you know. These are just the things we can think of right now! This might be the job today, but tomorrow brings more change, so being light on your feet and willing to embrace the unknown is a verrrrrry big help.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, business, communications or similar relevant education, is preferable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with sustainability, preferably with a consumer-facing/advocacy/communications focus, in a global company, or consultancy.
Media Savvy and Public Speaking Skills
  • You must be a confident spokesperson who is comfortable in front of both live and virtual audiences.
  • A great communicator translating complex issues into easily understandable information.
  • As the role requires engaging with various stakeholders, including the press, prior media training is beneficial.
Passion for Sustainability
  • A genuine enthusiasm for sustainability is non-negotiable and you feel connected to our mission and values.
  • You should demonstrate a deep commitment to driving positive environmental and social impact and you feel connected to our mission and values.
  • You are passionate to drive positive change in the food system by shifting diets to plant-based eating.
  • You think innovatively about the integration of sustainability into business.

WHO WE NEED YOU TO BE:

To excel in this role, you should possess a positive and proactive attitude, with a capability for flexibility and curiosity to be able to lead a constantly moving agenda. A make-it-happen person who is excited to roll up your sleeves and dive in and is excited about delivering fantastic results!

Your humility and approachability help you foster a collaborative team environment. You are non-hierarchical, you don’t get hung up on organisational reporting lines. Adaptability and openness to new ideas and changes are crucial qualities that will help you thrive in this position. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to apply and become a part of Oatly!

The role reports to the Sustainability and the Director of Sustainability E&I and can be based in London or Amsterdam. The rest of the Sustainability team is located at our HQ in Malmö and in Hamburg, but we work closely together. Additionally, there are many great colleagues in the London and Amsterdam offices 🙂

YOUR APPLICATION

Phew! Well done if you’ve got this far. We’re glad we’ve still got your attention because we’ve got one last super important point to make.

As you can probably tell, we’re a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad. So please trust your gut and pop in your application if it’s feeling right. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, let’s do this together! It will be fun!

The last day to apply: is the 30th of November.
