The Sustainability Manager is responsible for driving the continued development of Veolia UK & I sustainability actions, reporting and communications to help achieve Veolia’s purpose of Ecological Transformation.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing and supporting the delivery of Veolia’s sustainability roadmaps and strategies.
  • Monitoring, reporting and communicating on progress against sustainability KPIs.
  • Coordinating regulatory and non-regulatory ESG compliance and reporting.
  • Driving and supporting business functions to rollout sustainability initiatives that deliver value to our employees, customers and our communities..
  • Take the lead to ensure that accurate sustainability data, terminology and content is provided to support external and internal communications teams.
  • Lead on developing sustainability training and education materials.
  • Lead on thought-leadership pieces and research projects.
  • Update and develop sustainability policies and procedures.
  • Represent Veolia externally on industry groups and at customer events and workshops.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or sustainability related field.
  • Experience in an environmental related business.
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability related legislation.
  • Knowledge of global sustainability frameworks such as UN SDG, TCFD, TNFD, SBTI, GRI, SECR, SASB, CDP.
  • Experience of utilising data management systems, sustainability tools and frameworks, (e.g. PowerBi, LCA, EcoVadis).
  • Experience of providing reporting and briefing on sustainability matters to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge or experience working in Water, Waste or Energy would be beneficial.
