Overview

This is a brand-new, first of its kind position within our European organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring the venues and wider estates function deliver all services in connection with environmental legal requirements, best practice principles and ASM Acts! Sustainability policy.

Thus, ensuring that ASM Global is fully compliant with the current legislative requirements and that all engineering services infrastructure are optimised to operate effectively and efficiently and with minimal impact to the environment in which we operate. The Post holder will work closely with the Estate Hub, Capital Delivery and venue operations teams respectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our Environmental Management System.
  • Hold all departments, 3rd Parties and Contractors operating at our venues to account for their environmental impact and performance.
  • Target projects to maximise impact of the available Capital Expenditure and reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Developing and maintaining group standards and driving the sustainability agenda.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrable industry experience of experiencing, managing, interpreting & implementing environmental legislation – Essential.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of legal requirements and pollution prevention – Essential.
  • A full member of IEMA or equivalent – Desirable.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate.
  • Expert report writing, presentation and grammar skills – Essential.
  • Strong People Management Experience (both direct staff & agency / contractors).
