Job Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Sustainability team. We are looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to lead key environmental sustainability engagement events, initiatives and platforms for the promotion and awareness of environmental action at the University. The role will engage on an ongoing basis with University staff and students at all levels, as well as external stakeholders, to ensure that good environmental practices are embedded.
Your previous experience, passion for environmental sustainability and relevant skills will help you implement the team’s Sustainability Engagement Plan. The role will also support waste management operations and vital work related to the University’s Waste Strategy.
The role will be fixed term for 12 months.

You will have:
- Previous environmental sustainability experience, with an understanding of operational sustainability across energy, carbon, waste, water and travel.
- A proven ability to effectively engage with a wide range of people to deliver successful communication and behaviour change initiatives.
- Good written communication skills with experience of creating content for a range of audiences, including report writing, social media posts, website blogs and newsletters.
- Experience of communicating to all levels of interested parties as well as senior management across variety of roles.
- A proven ability to use your organisational skills to deliver small events/projects/initiatives.
- An understanding of environmental management practices and current environmental legislation
