About the role

The role of Sustainability Assistant will be responsible for engaging with the commercial teams, suppliers, and partner brands on their journey to improving the sustainability of our product offering across own brand and third-party brands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring product sustainability claims are verified and substantiated and auditable data train is maintained.
  • Engaging with third party brands to collect ESG performance data.
  • Engagement with commercial teams to train and support implementation of sustainability processes with a view to making improvements against ESG targets.
  • Working closely with suppliers and third party brands to ensure they understand and embed the necessary practice to support TVG product sustainability strategy.
  • Testing compliance to ESG policies including Forest Protection Policy, Animal Welfare, Canopy etc.
  • Staying abreast of market activity/horizon scanning in the space of product sustainability and providing updates to senior management.
  • Working closely with design teams on sustainable material usage and development.
  • Supporting on all other team admin as required including preparing papers, presentations, and reports as required.

About you

  • Degree in a relevant subject AND/OR commercial experience within a sustainability role (this could be an internship, work experience, or a permanent role).
  • Understanding of product sustainability concepts including lower impact materials, circularity and product manufacture.
  • Works collaboratively and effectively with others.
  • Is proficient with Microsoft office packages including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A great attitude and mature approach to work
  • Good communication skills.
