The Crown Estate is a unique business with a diverse portfolio that stretches across the country. We manage the Windsor Estate, including the Windsor Great Park, and are committed to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
We are seeking a passionate and proactive Sustainability Analyst to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will support the Windsor and Rural team in delivering sustainability targets related to energy, water, waste, and renewables. This role involves accurate data collection and analysis, working closely with the Sustainability Manager and Senior Leadership Team to help decarbonize our real estate and land portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an inventory of all meters (electricity, gas, water, solar PV, electric vehicle charging) across the Estate.
- Analyze meter data and provide insights to relevant departments.
- Manage quarterly and annual data reporting processes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with utility suppliers.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure accurate customer usage recharges and invoice payments.
- Support the delivery of Windsor’s decarbonisation plan.
- Enhance digital capabilities for data collection and reporting.
- Identify opportunities to reduce energy and water consumption, waste generation, and increase renewable energy generation.
- Improve culture and engagement across Windsor teams.
- Co-facilitate the Sustainability Working Group.
- Provide data to support ad-hoc business requirements.
- Coordinate internal communications regarding sustainability targets and progress.
- Support external engagement opportunities and identify new collaboration opportunities.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Relevant degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong relationship-building and management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive, personable, and well-organized self-starter.
- Relevant work experience in sustainability or property sectors.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex sustainability data and report findings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Passionate about sustainability.
