ABM UK is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supplier Engagement Advisor with expertise in Sustainability & Social Value to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the sustainability and social value aspects of our supplier partnerships. ABM UK has been providing award-winning facility service solutions since 1987, serving over 1,500 locations across the UK. As the Supplier Engagement Advisor for Sustainability & Social Value, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our suppliers adhere to our sustainability and social value standards. You will be responsible for monitoring supplier performance, conducting regular audits, and evaluating their compliance with sustainable practices and social impact goals. Additionally, you will work closely with suppliers to develop improvement plans and provide guidance to help them meet our sustainability and social value objectives.

To be successful in this role, you should understand sustainability principles and social value frameworks. You must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with suppliers to drive positive change and promote sustainable practices. Attention to detail and the ability to analyze data and metrics are essential skills for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee supplier performance related to sustainability and social value objectives.
  • Conduct regular audits to evaluate supplier compliance with sustainable practices
  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop improvement plans and provide guidance on meeting sustainability goals
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics related to sustainability and social impact
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in sustainability and social value
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure supplier performance aligns with ABM UK’s sustainability and social impact goals
  • Develop and deliver support training where required to enhance supplier understanding of sustainability and social value requirements

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • ESG or supply chain experience
  • Experience in supplier interaction ideally within facilities services or similar environment
  • Good knowledge of sustainability principles and ideally social value frameworks
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Good MS Office skill set, ability to present in excel and PPT
  • Ability to plan and manage supplier projects through to completion
