Overview
This is a pivotal business development role strategically targeting and winning new ESG and Sustainability, Advisory and communications and reporting work from our blue-chip client base and target prospects. As Senior Business Development Manager your will work closely with Directors, Advisory Practice leads, the Client Directors and Head of Sales and Marketing to plan and deliver targeted integrated multifaceted sales and marketing campaigns needed to build deep, engaging and value adding relationships with our targeted contacts within our client and targeted prospect organisations and to secure high quality new business briefs.
Our sales and marketing campaigns typically would include a combination of database mining and outbound e-marketing campaigns, in person and online events, networking, capitalising on our research and thought leadership programmes, website promotion and SEO, social media and referral campaigns needed to grow our database of engage high value prospects within our targeted UK and European markets. Working with the Head Sales and Marketing and marketing team your role will be plan the campaign, delivering different elements of the campaigns and then following up on any enquires.
In the role you also be responsible for managing a pitch process from briefing the pitch team, managing the pitch schedule, co ordinating activities, preparing and submitting RFPs, participating in presentations and arranging follow up actions as well as debrief calls.
Another important part of your role will be to work closely with your colleagues within our sister companies across the Group and identify mutually beneficial sales and marketing opportunities which you develop and take to market to the benefit of both businesses.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in Business Development and planning and delivering integrated B2B mix media sales and marketing campaigns large blue chip UK and European companies
- Performed a similar role in an ESG, Sustainability Advisory, Corporate Reporting or aligned Professional services firm
- Strong presentational and interpersonal and communications skills
- A proven track record in B2B consultative selling
- Highly entrepreneurial self-starter, who can use their own initiative to identify opportunities
- Excellent written skills are essential
- Fully conversant with Salesforce Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
