We currently have an exciting and unique opportunity for a Sector Sustainability Specialist as part our Life Science business based at our head office in East Yorkshire. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialist information, guidance and support on Sustainability matters to Life Science customers and existing business teams in sales, marketing, R&D and operations. The successful candidate will work closely with Pharma and Crop Global Key Account Manager to build and support sustainability engagement with those key customers, as well as contributing to, and leading, relevant aspects of strategic sustainability activities.  This role will regularly engage with the Group Sustainability team, as well as other sustainability working groups, to share learnings and align approaches.

Essentials:

  •  A passion for sustainability and knowledge of key issues and trends
  • Strong communicator in spoken and written media with good influencing skills
  • Able to interpret & communicate data to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop internal and external networks
  • Educated to degree level in chemistry or a related discipline

Desirables:

  • Understanding of Croda chemistries, processes and raw materials
  • Knowledgeable on sustainability metrics e.g. LCA / PCF calculation methodology
