As part of our continuing support to our client based in Cheshire, we are looking for a Sustainability & Environmental Consultant on a contract basis to be based at our client’s facility in Cheshire. The rate is negotiable based on experience, seniority, etc. The role has been deemed as inside IR35.
The supplier will support the UK S&E National Representative in performing the above-mentioned mission with the main focus on the following:
- Drive several operational aspects of the development of Sustainability and Environment topics for Airbus within the UK scope according to the Airbus A23.0 and A10 procedures
and ISO 14001:2015 certification across the sites and divisions as required. - Support the UK S&E National Representative in performing its duties in relation to the operational requirements of the role and the development of the Airbus Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Support operationally linked compliance topics and R&O management at national level as required.
National S&E activities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Rationalise and improve on the data sharing, communication and governance between the local operational teams and the central teams.
- Support the availability and reporting of accurate consolidated environmental data and information to contribute to Airbus environmental communication.
- Coordination of all relevant internal and external stakeholders in the UK and delivery of key strategic projects.
- Manage national environmental documentation and any inputs required in the relevant tools (FISH, etc.)
- Develop relevant processes and procedures to ensure new systems are in place aligned with S&E company objectives and UK national requirements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate understanding of relevant key S&E legislation and standards and working knowledge of Environmental Management Systems, ISO 14001 certification and related
processes and procedures. - Demonstrate a good understanding of the Airbus corporate Sustainability strategy and commitments.
- Be able to understand global Sustainability issues and associated regulatory evolutions.
- Be able to create content on a variety of sustainability topics.
- Have excellent communications skills, fluent in English (excellent writing and speaking level), French, Spanish or German would be a bonus.
- Be proactive in identifying development opportunities, develop logical conclusions and prioritise pragmatic and compliant solutions.
- Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a diplomatic and engaging way of working.
