Working within the sustainability team, reporting into the Head of Sustainability, the successful candidate will play a considerable part in progressing us towards our Near-term and Net-Zero targets.
The ideal candidate would have:
- An in-depth understanding of Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon accounting in line with the GHG Protocol
- Proven experience in identifying and implementing decarbonisation – either as part of an internal role or within a consulting environment
- Wider appreciation of ESG requirements relevant to professional services including climate risk analysis, mandatory reporting (TCFD, SECR, ESOS) and voluntary reporting (CDP, EcoVadis, sustainability report)
- Has experience in working with a wide group of global stakeholders, building strong relationships, and can explain technically complex issues in a clear, engaging manner
- Strong analytical skillset, including advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency – experience using Alteryx is preferred but not essential
- Achieved or working towards Associate IEMA membership
- Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
Responsibilities of the role:
- GHG emissions calculations (both annual and regular tracking), emissions data quality assurance, controls and process development, producing L.E.K.s annual GHG report and working with the ISO verification auditors, and driving improvements to input data for emissions calculations; and, collaboration with the Carbon Emissions Analyst
- Design and implementation of internal emissions reporting
- Identify and assist with implementation of carbon reduction activities across L.E.K.’s Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions portfolio
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to improve data quality from suppliers as well as internally
- Contributing to L.E.K.s transition plan (writing, updating) and implementation of L.E.Ks decarbonisation strategy
- Specification, process development and implementation of EMS software alongside other core services departments
- Conducting climate risk and opportunities analysis, including scenario analysis, calculating financial implications and assisting with integration into financial planning
- Advocate for sustainability in L.E.K., building knowledge; internal and external communications
- Assistance with modelling and tracking of carbon budgets
