Overview
This is a new role for a National Sustainability (NSUST) Reporting and Communications Assistant, reporting into the NSUST Reporting and Communications Manager.
This role will be crucial in managing internal and external communications for the NSUST team, developing and publishing the annual GB and IE sustainability reports as well as supporting the publication of any legislative reports such as, CSRD and EU taxonomy.
It is an exciting time to join the team, with a lot of activity planned for 2025.
Responsibilities
Legislation & Reporting:
- Assist with data collection and implementation of EU reporting legislations such as, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, EU CSDDD, EU deforestation regulation etc.
- Project Manage and coordinate GB and IE annual sustainability reports
- Collate AdHoc information for International Sustainability (ISUST) e.g. Gap Analysis for new reports, Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)
- Coordinate and manage of International Catalogue of Requirements (ICOR) updates (e.g. adding/amending requirements)
- Manage content collection and updates of the NSUST KPI dashboard
- Work with colleagues from different sub teams to understand data and reporting needs, manage expectations on delivery output and timescales
- Coordinate international reporting requirements
- Implement new reports/reporting guidelines for internal and external reporting requirements
- Coordinate additional certificate checks in line with international audit findings
- Competitor reviews when identifying new KPIs to report against/areas of interest
Communications & Project Management:
- Coordination and organisation of National Sustainability Committee (NSC) meetings and documentation
- Assist NSUST manager in writing GMD briefing packs
- Management and coordination of NSUST Sustainability Communications annual plan & strategy including management of CEO LinkedIn sustainability posts
- Management of website updates
- Management of internal stakeholder communication e.g. MDM, IBU updates
- Ownership and management of the NSUST SharePoint and NSUST Soundbites
About You:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels
- Strong relationship building skills for both internal & external parties
- Enthusiastic, confident, professional and articulate
- High level of attention to detail
- Organisation and time management skills
- Able to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks
- Able to work and deliver under own initiative
- Strong project management acumen
- Experienced in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Knowledge of sustainability legislation and reporting (GB and EU)
- Report creation capability
- Broad knowledge of sustainability
- Experience in reporting and data analytics
You’ll need to live within 90 minutes of your main working location

- Salary starting £36,080 rising to £42,135
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
