It’s a busy and exciting time for the brand and we’re on the hunt for a Junior Sustainability Manager to join our growing Sustainability team.
The Role
Focused on our environmental sustainability strategy, contributing to current targets and advancing our ESG agenda. Developing and delivering our environmental strategy throughout our supply chain. Alongside that, you’ll have a strong team around you, specifically, managing, supporting and developing our Environmental Sustainability Coordinator, who will work with you to identify the environmental impacts of how we do business across our value chain, acting to measure, monitor and reduce.
What you will be doing?
- Strategy Development: Implement environmental sustainability strategies focusing on circularity, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction.
- Risk & Data Management: Review risks, analyse energy consumption, carbon emissions, and sustainability practices.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to develop decarbonisation plans.
- Training & Awareness: Deliver training programs on Net Zero benefits and sustainable practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external partners and represent New Look at industry events.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure regulatory compliance and manage sustainability data for reports.
- Design and execute circularity strategies, including closed-loop systems, product life extension, and sustainable material sourcing.
- Identify opportunities for reducing waste and enhancing resource efficiency throughout the product lifecycle.
- Complete Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions reporting for scope 1,2 and 3.
- Analyse energy consumption, carbon emissions and sustainability practices across Scope 1, 2 and 3
Technical Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in a commercial environment with working knowledge of sustainability, the SDGs and associated international standards
- Strong knowledge of environmental impacts
- Have managed/mentored/coached in a previous role
- Previous experience within a sustainability role, ideally within a fashion retailer or sustainability consultancy or NGO
