We’re looking for a passionate, credible and commercially-astute Head of Sustainability to lead on our ESG strategy and own the Environmental element. You will lead the working groups from across the Haven business, reporting to the Board on ESG activity and progress. We’re the biggest contributor to coastal defence in the UK and you will lead on delivering and evolving our environmental commitments. You will be highly visible in this role, communicating regularly with our Exec teams and shareholders.

Your Opportunity:
To learn, develop and become an expert in a key area of the business by:
– Taking accountability for the development, driving and reporting of Haven’s Environmental strategy
– Establishing and delivering our Net Zero strategy and Park electrification plans
– Owning the governance of ESG strategy and reporting
– Establishing policies, processes and governance embedded in other business functions to support the environmental strategy
– Providing expert leadership in ESG, including identification of opportunities, and collaborating with stakeholders across Haven to build an ongoing program of work across the business

What we’d like you to bring:
– Deep expertise in Environmental strategies and how to deliver them, including legislation, Net Zero and decarbonisation approaches, electrification
– Exceptional Stakeholder management skills, able to develop strong functional relationships
– Proven senior level influencing skills
– A highly commercial and results focused mindset, with a strong drive to deliver
– Experience in a hospitality and/or leisure setting would be hugely advantageous
