Your role at CHANEL:
The position is an integral role to the Global Financial Planning & Analysis and Sustainable Performance team, acting as a strategic business partner providing financial insights and guidance at a global level, identifying critical business issues, drawing meaningful conclusions, and making recommendations.
This position has three primary areas of focus:
- Review and reporting on the global Cashflow.
- Reporting on Operations across the 3 Divisions and Manufacturing Suppliers
- Financial support to the Global Sustainability team
On top of these, the position requires:
- A broad understanding of the financial stakes across the Company to the transversal subjects

Main areas of impact you can create in the role:
Cashflow Reporting (35%)
- Analyse key cash delivers to identify trends and patterns that impact cash flow.
- Evaluate the consolidated cash flow position and provide insights into potential cash flow risks or opportunities.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, and other stakeholders, highlighting cash flow projections, variances, and recommended actions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve cash flow forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute the design of BI report of cash, working closely with the consolidation team.
- Deliver training to new users.
- Consolidate the CAPEX forecast monthly to facilitate the cash forecasting cycle.
Capital Expenditures (6%)
- Review all Operations capital expenditures requests above $1 million. Check and challenge assumptions as well as financial ratios; formulate recommendation.
- For major projects (including PPE contracts and investment requests), review and synthetize Business Plan. Follow-up of the different phases of the project vs approved plan.
Operations: (20%)
Manufacturing
- Regular financial business review of actuals and forecast. Communication of main highlights to Senior Management.
- Support to the manufacturing financial controllers of the 3 Divisions (Fragrance & Beauty, Watches & Fine Jewelry, Manufactures de Mode) for the budget cycles; review and challenge assumption. Participation in Budget and Strategic reviews.
- Focus on working capital and Cash forecast in collaboration with the Treasury department.
- Identify risks and opportunities, potential cost improvement and optimisation, facilitate the elaboration of recommendations trough analysis of the business and discussions with management.
- Support and consult with the Finance Corporate team on guidelines and reporting.
Supply Chain & Logistics
Support to the Operations community in the Divisions or in the Regions on global or cross divisional initiatives: inventory management, transport, warehousing, etc.
- Ensure a strong governance is maintained on Global Freight. Attend the quarterly steering committees. Following closely the evolution on Sustainable Aviation Fuels per Regions and Divisions.
Sustainability (20%)
- Manage the Global Sustainability budget with all stakeholders (including in the Divisions): review and update project list and costs for each cycle.
- Lead and coordinate the MTP process in collaboration with team to assist in driving the Sustainability department priorities.
- Ensure a strong financial governance, support, and visibility to Senior management on the financial impacts of major strategic projects (e.g. Biodiversity, climate, Nature…).
- Contribute in the definition and implementation of the ESG reporting (Environmental, Social and Governance) based on global guidelines and framework (e.g., involvement in CSRD, EU Taxonomy) and in partnership with the Sustainability Performance team.
Transversal Subjects – Global FP&A Activities (18%)
- Participate in the animation and storytelling of the company performance, through presentations to Executive committee and the Board, including but not limited to monthly forecast presentations, budget presentation, financial communication, and presentations on a broad range of topics.
Other Ad Hoc (1%)
- Gather global data on Actual contributions to Non – Profit organisations sharing with the Global CFO and senior stakeholders in the organisation.
What you will bring/have:
- Finance or Data Insights background, educated to Masters, or equivalent level with +8 years’ experience.
- Strong finance knowledge and an understanding of financial principles, systems, processes, management reporting and commercial finance, using these skills to challenge, partner and understand the needs of the business teams allowing for swift and informed strategic decisions.
- Ability to comprehend business issues and develop coherent & comprehensive business solutions.
- Capacity to work in an international, complex, and challenging environment, while meeting deadlines.
- Exhibit high levels of motivation and a drive to actively set and influence decisions; strong collaboration with effective communication skills with peers and senior management, with strong presentation skills across various regions and divisions, exerting influence and fostering collaboration.
