Overview

A day in the life of a HoCA&S, will see you working as part of a cross functional, multi-site based, passionate team to drive our sustainability agenda and deliver  proactive communications, partnership and advocacy plans that drive awareness, engagement and trust amongst external audiences, local communities  our employees.

Other key responsibilities:
•    Be a trusted communications & sustainability partner to the Nestlé Waters Senior leadership team, brining strategic insight and  expertise.
•    Champion and lead functional end to end strategic planning and implementation of the communications and sustainability strategy, contributing to the delivery of the UK business strategy and plan to Win in the market.
•    Driving strategic long term planning and short term implementation of the  strategy including: Water Regeneration, Climate, Circular economy and Communities.
•    Champion the category business internally as a leading business contributing to Nestlé’s Good 4 You and Good 4 Planet strategy.
•    Lead Internal and external Communications that engage key stakeholders with NWs purpose, strategy and ambitious commitments using holistic communications channels and annual event management to build pride, trust and advocacy for our category business.
•    Lead effective Crisis & Issues Management coordinating market level issues round tables (IRT) and the market level Crisis Champion.
•    Lead and develop a high performing, cross-site function of communications and sustainability experts: developing an engaged, results driven team; enabling personal development, succession planning within the UK&I market function.

This role is a member of the NWUK Senior Leadership Team, a member of the Nestlé in the Market Functional Leadership Team and represents NWUK interests to build category reputation with stakeholders as a board member of the UK category Trade Body, the Natural Source Waters Association.

Travel within UK will be required for this role, primarily between Crawley, London, Buxton and Princess Gate.

What will make you successful?
You will have experience working within a fast-paced Communications or Corporate Affairs function (in-house, or agency), with a track record of leading strategic communications, engagement and change management programmes (internal and external). You will have a passion for sustainability and drive for creating positive impact.
You will have the confidence to be Nestlé Waters Brand ambassador and spokesperson internally and externally, demonstrating a high degree of curiosity, insight and analytical skills.

 

Other key attributes include: 

•    Experience of working in / with Industry Bodies or Trade Associations
•    Experience implementing sustainability projects making a positive impact for Planet.
•    Knowledge of land, water and/or biodiversity restoration sustainability initiatives would be beneficial.
•    Issues & Crisis management experience.
•    Sound knowledge of UK media and media relations.
•    Budget management
•    Experience managing and developing others would be beneficial.
•    Ability to handle multiple projects with time and resource pressure.
