Overview
We are seeking applicants for the post of Farm Environment Adviser, based from our Wells Office in east Somerset. The successful candidate will work with the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group South West (FWAG SW) team to deliver a range of projects, working to improve water quality and deliver natural flood management measures (NFM).
These schemes are part of FWAG SW’s successful Hills to Levels delivery of projects, working with natural processes to help reduce local and catchment scale flooding and reduce diffuse pollution.
FWAG SW are seeking someone with a passion for farming and the environment. There is a growing demand for services to provide advice to farmers on agroecological practices, whether this is to reduce agricultural diffuse pollution, adopting a regenerative farming system or delivery of the public goods policy agenda. We are looking for applicants who also have their own specialisms or have an interest in developing a specialism, to strengthen our team.
