We are committed to building a sustainable future — and we’re looking for an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager with strong carbon management expertise to help us get there.
You will be a key member of our Regional Civils business, partnering with project teams and clients to drive our sustainability strategy and deliver meaningful environmental outcomes. You will:

- Provide expert guidance to clients and project teams on reducing carbon impacts, improving resource efficiency, and enhancing sustainability performance.
- Develop and implement carbon reduction strategies and reporting frameworks in line with industry standards and Balfour Beatty’s sustainability commitments.
- Support environmental compliance, risk management, and innovation across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects.
- Engage with stakeholders and visit site when required.
You will have the following:
- Proven experience in environmental management within infrastructure, construction, or civils.
- Strong knowledge of carbon management frameworks (PAS 2080, GHG Protocol, etc.) and experience applying them in practice.
- A track record of delivering sustainability improvements in a project or programme environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Relevant professional qualification (IEMA, CEnv, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
