Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience, plus benefits listed below

As the site Energy and Sustainability Specialist you’ll be responsible for the sustainability processes within the brewery, which includes utilities such as Water, Energy, Waste, and looking after our Carbon Emissions reduction management plans. Our Ciderie has a large investment coming it’s way which means there is a sizeable capital project to get your teeth stuck in to!

You’ll serve as the main mentor for the team with all thing’s sustainability. You’ll be able to work across the different departments to engage with stakeholders on sustainability related topics. On top of that, the following will keep you busy:

  • Ensuring environmental compliance to standards and local legislation
  • Responsible for coordinating deployments to tackle energy and water losses
  • Coordinating deployment activities within Pillars and departments
  • Making sure the sustainability KPI’s area cascaded and driven in the brewery
  • Managing sustainability KPIs to required quality specifications (when applicable)
  • Managing external service providers and supports contracting/evaluation
  • Coordinating and managing the development and usage of Visual Management, Poke, Yoke and CBM for PM / CILT tasks

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a technically skilled person who has the drive to match and likes problem solving. Of course, a good understanding of sustainability is required as well as some experience of stakeholder and people management as you’ll be bringing people along the journey with you.

The role holder will need to like a challenge as we’ve got ambitious energy and water reduction targets, and you may have a few of the following:

  • Previous experience in utilities (process) management, handling and control
  • TPM and AM knowledge
  • Experience of Montage or similar energy monitoring and reporting systems
  • Ability to confidently report and present findings in a coherent manner
  • Previous experience in coaching and influencing colleagues
  • General knowledge of operations
