As part of our Sales Operational Excellence team, you’ll be the front line of EHS support for our 19 sales companies across EMEA, driving both safety and sustainability goals (https://www.spiraxgroup.com/en/sustainability/one-planet).
This is a fantastic opportunity to influence key operational areas and play a pivotal role in achieving our ambitious environmental targets, including net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.
This role will focus on:
- Driving the Group compliance framework and continuous EHS improvement across key hazards like customer visits and product assembly.
- Leading monthly reviews of our internal framework, best practices, and process standards.
- Managing our EHS incident and action management portal (Eco-online) and overseeing EHS training across the region.
Foster a ‘Just Safety Culture’ by promoting fairness, responsibility, and learning. - Ensuring legislative EHS updates are reflected in company processes and systems.
- Leading the strategy to achieve Watson Marlow’s ONE Planet targets for net-zero emissions, waste reduction, and water efficiency.
- Delivering risk assessments, safe work systems, and toolbox talks to enhance workplace safety.
- Supporting internal and external EHS audits and ensuring compliance with corrective actions.
- Collaborating with global EHS teams to share insights, strategies, and improvements.
- Championing the occupational health program, ensuring employee wellbeing.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Essential:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent Level 6 H&S qualification.
- Graduate membership of IOSH with a current Blueprint CPD profile.
- Proven experience in leading EHS and Sustainability initiatives in sales or manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, capable of driving change across all levels.
- Experience with EHS and Sustainability systems.
- Ability to identify pragmatic EHS solutions while maintaining focus on strategic objectives.
Desirable:
- Working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO45001, and ISO50001 standards.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work independently and within multiple teams.
