Are you passionate about Climate, Health and Sustainability (CHS)? Do you have administrative experience and a desire to make a difference?
Join us at the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and help support our CHS programme. We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to provide comprehensive, effective and efficient administrative support to the NIHR Sustainability team and its external partners.
You will support the delivery of the NIHR Climate, Health and Sustainability (CHS) Programme and its wider team, helping to embed continuous improvements and supporting the programme’s activities and services. You’ll provide practical advice and guidance based on a detailed understanding of the CHS Programme and contribute to the delivery of a range of CHS tasks and objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- coordinating and resolving complex enquiries and casework independently
- acting as the main point of contact for CHS team’s shared mailbox and internal engagement platform, monitoring activity to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- managing the diaries of senior colleagues and coordinating a range of internal and external meetings, activities and events, including booking venues and speakers
- analysing and evaluating specialised information and data, identifying areas for further investigation
- contributing insight to the development of new or revised policies and systems
What you will bring to the role
You will be an experienced sustainability professional with a strong understanding of the links between climate, health and sustainability. You’ll be confident applying this knowledge to business priorities and capable of interpreting complex data clearly and concisely. You’ll be someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external. A genuine interest in sustainability will be key to your success in this role.
