Overview

Apprenticeship Programmes are a great way to earn and learn! Our Apprentice Sustainability Analyst Programme offers the perfect blend of personal and professional development, exposing you to the core of our business. Entering an Apprenticeship scheme with us involves working towards the role of a fully-fledged professional, earning a salary, whilst also being able to maintain a sense of academic achievement. At Severn Trent we provide the perfect mix between hands-on experience and a formal qualification, enabling our apprentices to make a real lasting difference to our customers and communities, not just for now, but far into the future.

You’ll be supported every step of the way, by your line manager and mentor. Responsibilities of businesses are changing rapidly; society increasingly expects that organisations should act responsibly not just to their shareholders but also to their wider stakeholders and the broader community. Working alongside our sustainability team, you’ll become a key component of virtually all types of business models where profit and growth are a means to an even greater end, such as protecting the environment and improving societal sustainability. You’ll help to innovate and drive ambitions for social and environmental change and make these a reality that are embedded and implemented across Severn Trent.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

  • To Identify and build internal relationships in order to foster buy-in to existing and future sustainability initiatives with the aim of integrating ethical policies and behaviour into everyday business practices
  • How to collect and analyse CR&S data from across the business in order to contribute said data to industry and mandatory reporting requirements e.g. Modern Slavery Act, Gender Pay Gap etc
  • You’ll learn to analyse and identify Severn Trent’s CR&S opportunities and threats. Escalate risks within own organisation when needed
  • How to collect, compile and, if needed, cleanse data, such as sales figures, Digital Twins etc. solving any problems that arise,
