Overview

The Vessel Performance & Sustainability Analyst forms part of the Performance Team within the Marine and Technical Services Group. The Performance Team is responsible for the systems and processes for monitoring commercial, technical and environmental performance for the Seapeak Fleet of vessels.

The Vessel Performance & Sustainability Analyst will be the first point of contact for the operations teams for performance related and emissions reporting queries.

The Performance & Sustainability Analyst will be responsible for the annual emissions reporting and verification process for Seapeak ensuring that the vessels IMO DCS, EU MRV and Fuel EU data verification is completed on target as well as supporting with any ongoing plan updates in Veracity and Thetis.

Additionally, the Vessel Performance & Sustainability Analyst is responsible for proactively identifying significant deviations from expected vessel performance, investigating the underlying causes using the available tools and providing feedback to the Operations team.

The measure of success will be achieving all KPIs on a consistent basis and upholding the Seapeak brand.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work closely with all members of the fleet, ship and shore, to enhance operational performance and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Support new users with training as required.

Finance

  • Support wider team with cost benefit analysis as required.

Operations

  • Provide day-to-day support to the operations team with performance inquiries with support from the wider Performance/Marine and Technical Services team as required.
  • Proactively investigate variances in actual performance compared to expected and work with ship teams to understand the reasons behind the data.
  • Guide the operations team in ways to improve performance by sharing results and any best practices identified.
  • Highlight any systematic performance issues to Performance team for consideration.
  • Responsible for the EU MRV, FuelEU and IMO DCS data verification in Veracity as well as any updates to monitoring plans and Thetis.
  • Support the team with validation of fuel figures and ad hoc TCP reviews as required.
  • Provide support on performance initiatives and with ad hoc analyses as required.

  • Respond to feedback from external and internal customers to ensure consistent delivery of first-class service and proactive resolution of any issues.

Requirements

Essential

  • Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Curious mindset and a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred

  • An understanding of the key performance clauses contained within charter parties.
  • Experience in vessel performance, LNG vessel operations or seagoing experience
