Overview
The role of Sustainability Specialist will work with teams across the business to ensure we can meet sustainability-related regulatory requirements.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Basic Qualifications
- Experience leading projects across multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of advanced skills in Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI tools (familiarity with Tableau preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, sustainability or related field
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability reporting or environmental compliance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
- Experience with sustainability data management systems
- Experience with carbon accounting, climate risk assessments and assurance processes
