Overview
We are seeking passionate and skilled sustainability professionals to join our Sustainability + Environmental Design Team. You will play a central role in shaping design outcomes across masterplans, buildings, infrastructure, and products by embedding circular economy principles, reducing embodied carbon, and addressing climate change mitigation strategies. This is a unique opportunity to apply whole-life thinking, analytical methods, and policy insights across high-impact global projects in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. The role is open to candidates from architecture, engineering, or environmental consultancy backgrounds with demonstrated experience in embodied carbon and circular economy.

- Apply circular economy and materials reuse principles throughout design, procurement, and deconstruction stages.
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate low-carbon, resource-efficient strategies using LCA, BIM, and material databases.
- Conduct embodied and operational carbon modelling using tools like OneClick LCA, or equivalent.
- Translate data into clear, actionable insights for clients and project teams through reports, visuals, and presentations.
- Research emerging trends in sustainable materials, climate policy, and low-carbon innovation to inform strategy.
- Support the development of in-house tools, templates, and best practices for material circularity and decarbonisation.
- (For senior roles) Mentor junior team members, lead client workshops, and contribute to cross-practice capability building.
Qualifications & Skills (Essential):
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Environmental Design, or a related discipline.
- 3–7+ years relevant experience in embodied carbon, circular economy or life cycle assessment.
- Proficiency with carbon assessment tools (e.g. OneClick LCA, eTool, SimaPro, Tally, Grasshopper plug-ins).
- Familiarity with environmental certification systems (e.g. LEED, BREEAM, Mostadam), and how carbon assessments support compliance and credits.
- Solid understanding of key frameworks and tools: EN 15978, RICS NRM, ISO 14040, LETI, GLA WLC, etc.
- Experience working with BIM (Revit), material quantification, and supply chain engagement.
- Ability to communicate complex sustainability data to diverse stakeholders.
- Passionate about advancing decarbonisation and circularity in the built environment.
- Strong organisational, analytical and team collaboration skills.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of Python, PowerBI, GIS or similar for data visualisation and analysis.
- Active engagement with professional sustainability networks or working groups (e.g. LETI, UKGBC).
- Chartership or working towards accreditation (CIBSE, IEMA, RICS, RIBA, etc.)
Please apply with an up-to-date CV and a portfolio demonstrating relevant project experience, including contributions to embodied carbon assessments, circular economy strategies, or environmental certification processes.
