We have a brilliant opportunity for someone to join us as our Sustainability & Reporting Senior Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role can be based out of our Bristol or London office, on a hybrid working basis.

The main purpose of this role is to lead the delivery of Osborne Clarke UK’s sustainability strategy, including initiatives to support employee engagement and upskilling, supplier engagement and reporting requirements. You’ll also work across the Responsible Business team to plan and deliver the annual responsible business report and other key reporting and benchmarking projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the OC Planet employee network to plan and deliver a programme of activity and achieve its strategy and policy goals.
  • Line Manage the ESG Data Analyst to build their capability, and work closely with them to understand the trends and drivers in OC’s environmental performance and use this knowledge to deliver change.
  • Work with the Communications team to plan and deliver internal sustainability messaging, and raise OC’s profile as a responsible business through external sustainability communications and social media.
  • Lead the net zero supplier engagement programme, supporting business owners to have climate conversations and developing own relationships with key supply chain partners.
  • Work with Risk and Compliance and Workplace Services teams to ensure the continual improvement of the firm’s environmental management system and its integration with other business processes.
  • Identify opportunities to develop OC’s sustainability strategy and integrate it with other responsible business programmes, such as our CSR strategy for charitable giving, employee volunteering and pro bono work.
  • Lead on compliance with reporting obligations, including the annual responsible business report, pay gap report and benchmarking submissions as required by the business.
  • Contribute to or lead other sustainability projects as required, acting as subject matter expert for sustainability and its relationship to the responsible business strategy.

Who we’re looking for

We’ll also be looking for someone to demonstrate:

  • Experience of corporate sustainability reporting. Awareness of Science Based Targets initiative, Greenhouse Gas Protocol and reporting frameworks such as CDP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to interact with people at all levels, support more junior colleagues and provide appropriate challenge to more senior colleagues when required.
  • Engaging facilitation skills, able to deliver interactive sessions with audiences at all levels of the firm in an involving and impactful way.
