As a Sustainability Coordinator you’ll play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S food, while supporting M&S’ Plan A.

Our operations Nationwide are looking for candidates who can commit to a Monday to Friday shift pattern, working 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 08:00-16:00 at your nearest site location at least 3 times a week.

What will you do & what will you need

As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will lead and support key sustainability initiatives across Gist, managing projects from start to finish and collaborating with various departments to drive progress. You’ll collect and analyse data to guide decision-making, support accurate carbon reporting, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. A key part of your role will be engaging colleagues through training, communication, and promoting a culture of sustainability, while staying informed on industry trends and innovations.

Ideally, you will have experience in sustainability projects, data analysis, and carbon reporting. Strong communication and influencing skills are essential, along with a solid understanding of environmental regulations[A2]  and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with logistics operations and environmental auditing is a plus.
