We’re looking for an OCDEA-qualified Sustainability Consultant to join our growing team. In this remote role, you’ll produce SAP assessments and EPCs for major residential developments, supporting our clients in meeting Part L requirements and achieving their sustainability objectives. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated sustainability consultant capable of producing energy assessments and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for large national developers using the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) methodology. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building effective working relationships with colleagues and clients. Good attention to detail is essential as the role requires a high degree of accuracy and organisation skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provision of SAP assessments and EPCs to ensure our clients achieve compliance with Part Land EPCs are issued in a timely manner
  • Managing projects comprising a small number of services, including planning and tracking progress against deadlines, coordinating inputs, and escalating issues where necessary
  • Active engagement with the client and design team to ensure that sustainability requirements are taken into consideration and achieved over the lifecycle of the development
  • Providing high quality consultancy and written reports at land purchase and planning stage to ensure that planning requirements are met
  • Utilisation of resources from within the team to ensure that the client receives timely, high-quality advice and assessments

Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Be an accredited On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA)
  • Be conversant with Building Regulations throughout the UK, with particular expertise in Part Land awareness of how Part O requirements interact with compliance
  • Able to communicate with clients effectively and confidently via telephone, email and face-to-face
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and a good level of general education, particularly in Maths, Science and English
  • Ability to self-manage a busy and time-critical schedule of work
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
