Overview
Do you want to be part of a growing team that’s committed to making a difference. Sustainability is a key priority within this business, and the newly appointed Sustainability Analyst will directly contribute to shaping a more sustainable future for this business and the stakeholders with whom they work closely with.
Nigel Wright Group is proud to have been retained by a fast growth FMCG business to recruit a newly created job of Sustainability Analyst. As the business continues to deliver on, and achieve its strategic growth objectives, they are keen to not lose sight of what makes them unique – both as an employee and supplier. Their plans are ambitious, but through the commitment of their employees, and their focus on bringing the right individuals into the business, they continue to meet their goals.
This is an exciting time to join the growing sustainability team, with the new Sustainability Analyst playing a key role in the delivery of the sustainability objectives set by the business and customers – including achieving net zero being a key priority. Whilst the Head of Sustainability will set out the road map, the new Sustainability Analyst will be crucial to its successful delivery. The job of Sustainability Analyst requires someone who enjoys reading, interpreting, analysing, and importantly communicating data to various stakeholders, both internally and externally with customers.
Analytically minded, the Sustainability Analyst shouldn’t accept things at face value, it’s about really understanding the impact that different decisions will have on people, consumers, the environment, waste, and ESG. This is an opportunity to work with a business that really prides themselves on quality, that really believes in doing the right thing and isn’t afraid to work with suppliers to help them understand that the right solution might not be the easiest or cheapest one. As an incredibly forward-thinking business, this role would suit an individual who is ambitious, entrepreneurial and inquisitive. Ideally (but not essentially), the candidate will have:
- A degree in an area linked to Sustainability (sustainability, environmental science/management).
- Some experience working in sustainability – this could be in FMCG, broader manufacturing, consultancy, engineering or project management.
- Experience in data analysis and proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation tools. This could be from an environmental, supply chain or procurement perspective.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
