We are seeking a Sustainability Analyst to join our Sustainability team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and talented individual to contribute to sustainability strategies across a diverse range of projects and scales.

As a Sustainability Analyst, reporting to the Sustainability Lead, you will support the development and integration of sustainability strategies within projects, working closely with architectural and design teams. The role combines technical sustainability analysis with design communication and will involve producing high-quality reports, simulations, and visual material to inform and influence sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project teams in embedding sustainable design strategies and performance-driven approaches
  • Carry out environmental simulations and analyses, including daylight, solar, wind comfort, energy modelling, and life cycle assessments
  • Prepare and contribute to high-quality sustainability reports, graphics, and visualisations
  • Assist in sustainability certification processes such as BREEAM and LEED
  • Use parametric workflows (Rhino + Grasshopper, or Cyclops) to develop custom algorithms for performance-driven design
  • Run Life-cycle assessments using OneClick-LCA
  • Support materials research and contribute to construction performance analysis
  • Collaborate across the practice to promote and embed RSHP’s sustainability principles

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of sustainable design strategies and building performance principles
  • A passion for sustainable and regenerative design strategies
  • Strong Rhino and Grasshopper skills; ability to create custom parametric workflows
  • Knowledge of environmental simulation tools (e.g. Rhino, Grasshopper, Ladybug, Honeybee, Cyclops, etc) would be an advantage
  • Experience with life cycle assessments, ideally using OneClick LCA would be beneficial
  • Experience producing high-quality graphics using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Familiarity with sustainability certifications (LEED, BREEAM or equivalent)
  • Clear communication skills and ability to present technical ideas to diverse audiences

Desired Qualifications

  • Part I architect or above (or equivalent)
  • Professional background in architecture, engineering, or environmental design
  • Postgraduate degree in Sustainable Design, Environmental Analysis, or Computational Design (sustainability focus)
  • Minimum one year’s relevant professional experience (exceptional recent graduates will be considered
