Overview

The Sustainability Analyst plays a critical role in supporting Ascot Group’s sustainability strategy by analysing environmental data, assessing climate-related risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Detailed Duties

Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct research on sustainability trends, market best practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse data related to the company’s environmental impact and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with external commitments as required and all future regulator led initiatives.  

Project Support:

  • Provide assistance in preparation of papers and analysis for committee meetings and external meetings with external bodies.
  • Support the continued review of requirements for ensuring adherence to the Lloyd’s ‘Principles’ oversight and governance assurance framework in order to fulfil Lloyd’s annual attestation requirements.
  • Support in regulatory / compliance projects in satisfying Lloyd’s, UK, US and Bermuda regulations.
  • Help prepare reports on sustainability performance and progress.
  • Maintain accurate records of sustainability activities and initiatives.
  • Support the development and monitoring of reporting for sustainability risk metrics and key risk/performance indicators as required.

Awareness and Education:

  • Support communication efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in meetings and presentations to share sustainability insights and updates.
  • Where required, contribute to enhanced training and guidance materials for the relevant stakeholders in the business.
  • Help to build and embed the appropriate culture and values across Ascot.

Skills

  • Experience in a discipline relating to Sustainability / Environmental, Social or Governance risk.  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management and strong team management credentials.  
  • Ability to identify, propose solutions and implement to meet business challenges. 
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills required, with attention to detail.  
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and pragmatic.  
  • Microsoft Office skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
