Are you an experienced sustainability consultant looking to take ownership of high-profile sustainability verification projects and work with some of the world’s leading organisations?
At Bureau Veritas, we’re seeking a Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our growing Sustainability team. This is an opportunity to play a leading role in helping clients verify their sustainability reporting.
Working with a diverse client base across multiple sectors, you’ll combine technical expertise, client management, and project leadership to support organisations on their journey towards more sustainable operations.
As a Senior Sustainability Consultant, you’ll lead the delivery of sustainability assurance projects while supporting the growth and development of both clients and colleagues.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and delivering assurance projects from inception through to completion
- Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor sustainability assurance matters
- Providing technical leadership across project teams and reviewing deliverables to ensure quality and consistency
- Interpreting reporting standards and advising clients on reporting requirements and best practice
- Identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and support business growth
- Contributing to proposals, tender submissions and business development activities
- Mentoring and developing junior consultants within the team
- Keeping abreast of emerging legislation, standards, methodologies and market developments
About You
We’re looking for an experienced consultant who is technically strong, commercially aware, and passionate about helping organisations improve their sustainability performance.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience delivering sustainability assurance projects
- Strong knowledge of assurance reporting standards
- Experience managing clients and delivering projects within budget and timescale requirements
- The ability to interpret complex sustainability issues and provide practical, commercially focused solutions
- Experience supporting business development activities and proposal preparation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management capabilities
- High-quality report writing and presentation skills
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience
Professional membership with a recognised environmental or sustainability institution would be advantageous.
