Overview
As a MP&L Sustainability Analyst, you will be at the heart of our environmental transformation, playing a crucial role in measuring our carbon footprint and providing the data-driven insights needed to build a zero-emissions logistics network.
You will be an integral part of the MP&L Sustainability team, helping us transition logistics operations to achieve our long-term Carbon Neutrality ambitions. You will work to ensure that our logistics operations—covering road, rail, sea, and air—match the “green” credentials of the vehicles we build.
Responsibilities
Your scope will include:
- Carbon Reporting & Analytics: Maintaining and improving our CO2e reporting dashboards ensuring data integrity using tools like Alteryx and Power BI.
- Industry engagement: Monitor and report on emerging transportation technologies and track industry trends to help the team stay ahead of decarbonisation shifts. Benchmark competitors and identify opportunities for implementation or pilot project.
- Scope 1 Focus: Supporting the UK Transport Operations (TOps) team in tracking and reducing emissions from Ford-owned assets.
- Strategic Support: Assisting in the development of long-term decarbonisation strategies and business cases for new decarbonisation technologies and pilot projects. Analyse impact of pilot projects and report out learning.
- Engagement & Learning: Support the delivery of the Monthly MP&L Sustainability Newsletter and support the rollout of sustainability training programs across the organisation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working across a broad range of Ford departments to ensure sustainability is integrated into every strategic logistics decision. Develop and maintain an external network of partners to support Fords decarbonisation journey.

Qualifications
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
To excel as a MP&L Sustainability Analyst, you will need a combination of the following:
- Passion for Sustainability: A genuine interest in environmental topics is important to help drive Ford of Europe achieve its carbon neutrality goals. Knowledge of current and future transport technologies and understanding of logistics operations is beneficial.
- Sustainability Literacy: A foundational understanding of sustainability and environmental topics including carbon reporting and calculation methodology (GHG Protocol, GLEC framework).
- Analytical Aptitude: The ability to transform large datasets into clear, actionable insights. Experience with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Alteryx and Power BI and experience with AI/ML is an advantage.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: A “can-do, find-a-way” attitude to solving complex environmental challenges and improving reporting accuracy.
- Strong Communication Skills: The ability to translate findings into clear stories for diverse audiences, including support for the monthly sustainability newsletter.
- Curiosity & Adaptability: A proactive approach to learning about rapidly changing green technologies and global carbon reporting standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, GLEC Framework).
- Team Player: A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic, multi-functional team.

This position is based in Dunton, Essex and it is expected the successful candidate will be able to attend the Dunton Campus for typically 4 days a week and remain flexible on the days they are required to attend the office according to business requirements.
