CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are looking for experienced candidates to join our pipeline of candidates for future, Global Net Zero Sustainability roles. As a dedicated Net Zero Sustainability Lead, you will support the company’s environmental goals, including achieving Net Zero by 2030. The role involves providing strategic support, focusing on sustainability strategy, thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, CSRD support, and Scope 3 decarbonisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with key stakeholders and departments, facilitate cross-company collaboration, and establish working groups.
  • Programme Governance: Establish programme structures, coordinate workstreams, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Mobilisation Workstream Delivery: Manage the delivery of mobilisation workstreams, integrate sustainable practices into operations, and develop a 5-year strategic carbon reduction plan.
  • CSRD Support and Legislative Compliance: Provide oversight to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and support the transition to data capture platforms.
  • Scope 3 Decarbonisation: Assess and reduce Scope 3 emissions, focusing on purchased goods and services and commuter travel.
  • Net Zero Strategy and Execution: Develop and maintain a strategic carbon reduction plan, oversee initiatives, and support budgeting and investment planning.
  • ESG Training, Education, and Awareness: Support the Sustainability team, drive efficient operations, and engage with stakeholders to reinforce desired behaviours.

Skillsets and Experience:

  • Proven experience in sustainability and environmental management.
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or university. Minimum of eight years of related experience and/or training. Minimum six years of managerial experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Net Zero strategies and decarbonisation.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate complex programmes and workstreams.
  • Ability to design a program of work to meet objectives (compliance with legislation).
  • Knowledge of CSRD and other relevant legislative requirements.
  • CEM required.
  • PE and LEED accreditation preferred.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written & spoken) with senior/client management.
  • Ability to report progress of programme delivery, identifying slippage and highlighting risk of late- or non-compliance where it arises.
  • Experience of using Microsoft business software (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint).
  • Strong organisational skills – maintaining orderly records & filing, traceability of data & documentation for audit purposes
  • Carbon footprint reporting experience or training preferred. Training and accreditation part of development and performance management requirements.
