Overview
We are looking for a Communications Consultant to act as a strategic powerhouse within our Comms team. The exact role definition will be dependent on the desire, capability and experiences of the right person. Key responsibilities are likely to include:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of integrated sustainability communications projects. This includes everything from drafting “Impact Reports” to creating multi-channel sustainability content and messaging that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Assisting senior leads in facilitating leadership messaging workshops and developing communication roadmaps and sustainability messaging.
- Helping clients navigate the complex regulatory and ethical landscape of sustainability, ensuring every green claim is ambitious, evidence-based, and transparent.
- Acting as a lead writer and content creator, distilling complex ESG data and technical sustainability topics into engaging, human-centric narratives that avoid greenwashing.
- Managing the design process and collaborating with third-party creatives (designers, videographers) to ensure visual outputs match the quality of the strategy and content.
- Serving as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, building trust through reliable delivery, proactive ideas, and deep subject matter expertise.
- Supporting the growth of the Comms service line by contributing to thought leadership, internal process improvements, and upskilling other consulting team members on comms approaches.
About you
You believe that humanity and businesses need to make a seismic shift in the right direction and want to apply your communications capabilities to help make that happen. At the same time you want to work in a friendly, collaborative and empathetic team who are delivering impactful projects for high-profile clients. You will especially enjoy working at Seismic if you have a growth mindset and are comfortable with uncertainty, as we are a fast-growing, agile and evolving business.
To be successful in this role you would need the following attributes:
- Experience in sustainability communications in house or within an agency environment.
- Experience managing multiple comms projects
- You are passionate about impact.
- You are a master copywriter who can distill complex information into engaging content, and understand how to project manage a design process
- Experience of helping organisations deliver communications across sustainability topics (e.g., B Corp, Net Zero, DEI) is essential, and experience of any ESG reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI) would be advantageous.
Importantly, you love client work and also working with teammates to build something great. You like a laugh but are not afraid to graft. You have plenty to offer, and know you have even more to learn.
You are proactive, have a keen eye for detail and enjoy juggling multiple projects and priorities and enjoy just the right amount of time pressure to help keep productive and focused. You are a ‘people person’ with a knack for building relationships.
You are more excited by the opportunities of working for a young, fast growing, ever evolving, purpose-driven business than for a large corporate.
You are excited by the opportunity of joining a high-performance team within a fast-growing, ever-evolving, purpose-driven business.
