Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Officer to join the University of Liverpool’s Sustainability Strategy and Impact Team.

Sustainability is a cross-cutting theme in Liverpool 2031, the University’s strategic framework. Our Sustainability Strategy sets out an ambitious agenda across environmental, social, and governance priorities, shaping how we deliver our research, education and student experience, and operational excellence.

We are seeking a motivated sustainability professional to help drive forward key elements of this strategy – initially this will be the research pillar, which includes our commitments to the Concordat for the Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation, ongoing implementation of frameworks such as LEAF and GreenDisc, and responding to funder requirements for sustainability.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Sustainability, you will also deliver specialist sustainability activities, including carbon reporting and supporting relevant compliance with our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
