Overview

The Sustainability Consultant plays a central role in growing and delivering Sustainability Services. You’ll support bids and client engagements, provide expert sustainability input, deliver impactful projects end-to-end, and identify new opportunities through data-driven market analysis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sustainability and eager to grow their career at the intersection of technology, business, and climate action.

Key Responsibilities

Drive business growth by:

  • Partnering with sales and account teams to embed sustainability insights and value propositions into proposals.
  • Analyzing opportunity pipelines to identify and pursue sustainability-related deals.
  • Providing expert sustainability guidance on bids to strengthen client propositions.
  • Championing Sustainability Services across internal teams and external networks.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability across industries and service lines.

Deliver impactful projects through:

  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate clients’ digital environmental impact and recommend improvements.
  • Sustainability reporting on client contracts, maintaining documentation and ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance.

Contribute to continuous improvement by:

  • Capturing learnings and feedback from internal teams and clients to enhance service quality.
  • Staying current on sustainability news, standards, and best practices to drive innovation and regulatory alignment.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid role based in London, typically 2 days in the office per week.
  • Flexible hours and occasional travel to client meetings or events.

Success will be measured by measurable, outcome-driven indicators such as:

  • Quality and number of bids supported.
  • Number of sustainability proposals and projects initiated and delivered.
  • Quality and impact of project delivery based on feedback and outcomes.
  • You’ll receive regular feedback and mentoring to support your professional growth.

About Sustainability Services

The role will report into the Head of Sustainability Services. The role will need to work collaboratively with the Social Value team. The role will work closely with sales and account teams of at least one key industry.

  • Excellent organization and attention to detail.
  • Solid data analysis skills (Excel or equivalent).
  • Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal.
  • Team-oriented attitude and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or higher).

Desirable Skills

  • Degree in Sustainability, IT, or related field.
  • Experience (academic, professional, or personal) in sustainability topics.
  • Exposure to sales, business development, or client-facing consulting.
