The Role
As Implementation Manager – Agriculture, Welfare & Sustainability – Poultry, you will combine deep specialist knowledge across animal welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, and environmental sustainability with analytical capability to deliver data-driven implementation support to customers and their suppliers globally.
This role sits within Foods Connected’s Professional Services function and is operationally focused, responsible for the day-to-day delivery of structured onboarding and implementation programmes and will be the lead technical consultant for poultry alongside support across the protein categories. You will be the primary point of contact for customers and suppliers seeking to understand, configure, and act upon the welfare, compliance, and sustainability data available within the Foods Connected platform, translating complex reporting outputs into meaningful, actionable insight throughout the implementation lifecycle and beyond.
In addition to your direct implementation responsibilities, you will be working closely with the Head of Implementation, BI, and Product teams to ensure that welfare and compliance reporting capabilities are continuously developed, accurately represent specialist requirements, and deliver genuine value to customers at scale.
Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Livestock Science, Animal Welfare, Agriculture, Aquaculture, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
- Proven practical experience in poultry supply chains, and one or more of animal welfare, agriculture, aquaculture, or sustainability compliance within the food industry or related supply chain context.
- Demonstrated experience working with data reporting tools, dashboards, and compliance or sustainability data sets.
- Strong working knowledge of UK and/or EU regulatory frameworks relevant to livestock, aquaculture, or environmental sustainability.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical, scientific, and data-driven content into clear, accessible guidance for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialist or data-related discipline.
- Experience with BI or reporting platforms, particularly PowerBI, in a customer-facing or compliance reporting context.
- Familiarity with digital traceability, sustainability, or supply chain compliance platforms.
- Experience working in a professional services, consultancy, or customer-facing implementation environment.
- Experience with AI tools and a proactive approach to adopting technology in specialist and analytical workflows.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel and PowerPoint for customer-facing analytics and reporting outputs.
- Experience with data visualisation and reporting tools, with PowerBI knowledge particularly advantageous.
- Familiarity with CRM or project management platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Jira, or equivalent).
- Ability to learn and confidently navigate the Foods Connected platform to support customer and supplier onboarding and reporting configuration.
- Comfort interpreting and communicating compliance and sustainability data sets in a customer-facing context.
