Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join our team on the Isle of Skye. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference – helping us care for the environment while supporting projects that matter to the local community.

You’ll be our go-to person for environmental and sustainability advice, making sure our work not only meets Scottish environmental regulations but also leaves a positive legacy for people and nature. From advising project teams to building relationships with local organisations and regulators, your expertise will help us do things the right way.

What you’ll be doing

  • Give clear, practical advice on environmental and sustainability matters
  • Make sure projects comply with Scottish environmental regulations and good practice
  • Carry out environmental checks and suggest improvements
  • Develop and oversee Environmental Management plans
  • Support initiatives to cut carbon, protect biodiversity, and use resources wisely
  • Share your knowledge and mentor others in the team

Who we’re looking for

  • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Ecology or a related field
  • Experience in an environmental advisory role, ideally at senior level
  • Good knowledge of Scottish environmental legislation and permitting
  • A practical approach to developing sustainability plans and putting them into action
  • Strong communication skills – you’ll be comfortable talking with both technical teams and local communities
  • Professional membership (such as CEnv or MIEMA) would be a bonus
