PerkinElmer is looking to hire an experienced and passionate ESG Program Manager to develop, implement, and report on PerkinElmer’s ESG program. Considering our global footprint with manufacturing and logistics operations in Europe, we aim to achieve CSRD compliance for the entire group. The ideal candidate will, therefore, have a proven track record in sustainability program management and a deep understanding of CSRD, ESG reporting and best practices relating to Ecovadis, CDP, and SBTi, among others.
This role can be based anywhere in Europe but we are encouraging hybrid working so you will need to be local to one of our offices.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Delivery:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate sustainability strategy aligned with our company’s values and goals
- Deliver corporate sustainability strategy by collaborating with cross-functional teams globally to integrate sustainability practices into business processes and decision-making
- Establish governance model and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver the ESG strategy
Reporting & Communication:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting system to track and report sustainability progress as needed
- Produce Annual ESG Report
- Develop and own the web content for the ESG page
- Work with Corporate Communications & Marketing to develop ESG related messaging and communications opportunities
Stakeholder management:
- Support the business with ESG inquiries related to commercial bids & contracts
- Support the procurement function with sustainable supply chain practices
- Manage the relationship with NMC on all ESG requirements
ESG Advocacy:
- Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on sustainability initiatives and encourage participation
- Educate the business at all levels about the impact, best practices, regulatory requirements, and benefits of ESG
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with ESG industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to environmental sustainability
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate sustainability program development, management, and reporting (Ecovadis, CDP, SBTi…)
- Solid understanding of the CSRD framework
- Proven ability to develop and implement successful sustainability strategies and initiatives that increase a company’s overall ESG performance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, standards, and reporting frameworks globally
Preferred Characteristics:
- Experience in understanding issues, analyzing data, deriving conclusions, developing practical solutions and supporting their implementation
- Strong work ethic and motivation, extremely high ownership, low ego (getting things right vs. being right), no-nonsense attitude and “work hard, play hard” mentality
- Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and projects with different stakeholders; Excellent prioritization skills and “nose for value” that focuses efforts on the highest ROI work
