A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the Head of Finance – Operations & Sustainability, you will:
• Ensure accurate budget, forecast, outturn and month end reporting for Operations, Corporate Supply Chain (CSC) and Sustainability inc. No Waste.
• Analysing financial results, trends, and variances to provide insight to Senior Leadership, Zone Finance and Ops ManCom
• Business Partner Supply Chain Director, Sustainability Director and form part of Ops Mancom
• Responsible for the financial management of Fixed Assets across Campus and Distribution Centres including refurbishment, lease extensions and relocation
• Finance lead in the No Waste Team, supporting the business to get to zero FG destructions by 2030 and ensure set up for long term success
• Complete ad-hoc analysis on UKI performance, identifying, recording, and tracking R&O
• Support pricing proposals and lead on P&L scenario planning for new remonetisation channels
• Be accountable for financial Corporate Supply Chain accuracy across Multi-Div and Corporate teams
• Be responsible for external audit planning deliverables for all areas of CSC
• Identify areas for centralization/standardization and opportunities for automation/ technology enhancements to streamline workflows across Finance
• Be the liaison between CSC UKI and Zone (Group) Multi-Div and UKI Finance teams to ensure one version of the truth and all activities in-line with Zone guidance
• Own and monitor adherence to the Travel and Expenses policy
• Continuously evaluate and improve financial reporting and consolidation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency
• Collaborate with finance teams, business units, and departments to gather necessary financial data and ensure alignment in reporting processes
• Work with IT and systems teams to optimize financial reporting and consolidation systems
• Support strategic decision-making through the provision of accurate financial information
• Leadership and development of Ops Controller and Management Trainee (indirect)
WHO YOU ARE
• Experience working with various teams from a complex, global matrix structure with multiple reporting lines
• High level of exposure to the senior leadership team, experience of partnering to Exec level
• An accounting qualification either ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Worked previously within a consumer goods/retail environment
• Understanding of Supply Chain and Ability to translate financial information for non-finance
